 Created e-Business strategies and implemented best practice processes in the procurement of $4,000,000,000 of goods and services.  Responsibilities included identification, implementation, supplier roll-out, and operational management of enterprise wide Procurement Solutions, including Procurement Cards, e-Procurement catalogs, online reverse auctions, and multi-system reporting tools.

 

Achievements:

·        Analyzed current supply chain processes, developed a roadmap, and implemented solutions that moved 91% of transactions (350,000) from manual to electronic.

·        Reduced RP/PO transaction cost by 75%.  Annual savings $38,000,000.

·        Expanded supplier participation in Vendor Managed Inventory program and converted the program from a legacy enterprise system to SAP.

·        Consolidated MRO supplier base and refocused buyers on strategic supplier management leading to material savings of $45,000,000 annually.

·        Merged Accounts Payable into the Procurement organization, resulting in a 50% reduction in staffing requirements for Accounts Payable with an annual savings of $1,100,000.

U.S. Supply Operations Manager                                                                                 1995 - 1998

 

Led cross-regional operations for both semiconductor finished goods distribution centers and U.S. supply stockrooms.  Operational responsibilities included budgets, staffing, process improvements, and cost reductions. Defined and implemented a worldwide customer product distribution strategy and Vendor Managed Inventory for multiple TI businesses.

  • Combined business centric stockrooms and reduced storeroom facilities by one third.
  • Reduced stockroom MRP staffing requirements 55% and lowered inventories $17,000,000.
  • Consolidated U.S Finished Goods warehouses from five to one distribution center

  • Transitioned daily management and staffing to 3rd Party Logistics Provider reducing headcount by 45 and cutting cost by $900,000 per year.

Logistics and Order Fulfillment Manager                                                                      1992- 1995

 

Directed the logistics and order fulfillment process for Calculator and Computer Products Division.  Responsibilities included distribution network rationalization for finished goods warehouses, and logistics traffic flow for inbound and outbound shipments.

 

Achievements:

  • Designed and implemented an order entry and product delivery process that linked logistics, manufacturing, sales organization  and customers.
  • Expanded role of logistics with customers, reducing delivery cycle time by 35%
  • On-Time shipments to “customer request date” improved from 85% to 98%
  • Implemented a worldwide, multi-business warehousing and distribution model as a member of the Corporate Logistics Council. 

 

Texas Instruments Consumer Products

Marketing and Sales Manager- Direct/Employee                                                       1987 - 1992

 

Managed P&L for internal sales of consumer products to company employees.  Accountable for 29 facilities located in all U.S. locations.

 

Achievements:

·        Designed and installed a comprehensive operating plan that increased the number of employee store locations from 7 to 29.

·        Implemented a 100% satisfaction guarantee program dramatically increasing customer satisfaction and sales

·        Developed VAR market for programmable calculators which increased sales by 25%.
